Crédit Mutuel Asset Management, the asset management company of the La Française group (160 billion in assets under management and 1,000 employees), has announced the appointment of Ombeline Michallet, 30, to the quantitative management team, responsible for supporting the development of the new ETF range. She joined the team in July.
The recruit came from Ossiam, a quantitative management company affiliated to Natixis IM, where she had been working since 2021 as a manager of quantitative funds and ETFs, working on systematic bond and equity strategies.
Ombeline Michallet began her career as an intern at Oddo and then at UBS in Paris before joining Pimco in London in 2019 as an assistant portfolio manager, specialising in emerging bonds and then European investment grade credit. Michallet holds a Master of Science in Market Finance and a Master of Management from EDHEC Business School. She is also a graduate of Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Bachelor of Mathematics) and Université Panthéon-Assas (Bachelor of Economics and Management).
The portfolio manager reports to Nicolas Devant and Pierre-Alain Patard, co-Heads of Quantitative Management within Crédit Mutuel Asset Management's Quantitative Hub, headed by Paul Gurzal, co-Head of Fixed Income Management, in charge of specialised bond management.
