ESMA issued a warning statement that was immediately relayed by the AMF in France. They point out that sharing an opinion on a stock with a large audience constitutes an investment recommendation under European law and falls under the Market Abuse Regulation. In two years, 800,000 new investors have taken their first steps on the stock market in France.
