Anti-money laundering : Paris wants to place the European Authority at the heart of its ecosystem

Chairman of the Autorité des Normes Comptables (ANC), Robert Ophèle was Deputy Governor of the Banque de France, Chairman of the Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution (ACPR) and then Chairman of the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF).

France has officially applied to host the future AMLA, the Anti-Money Laundering Authority, which is also being sought by other financial centers such as Frankfurt. The responsibility of this strategic file is entrusted to Robert Ophèle, the former president of the AMF.
